Nike SB V-Rod – Jade Stone – White

Published on August 27th, 2011no comments

A Nike, Inc. color more hot in the mid ’00s, Jade Stone has been conspicuously absent from notable releases over the past few years. It’s highly amusing, too, given the variety of Chinese Jade colorways we’ve seen in recent months, not to mention how nicely this muted green shade would look in all manner of subtle colorways. Luckily, it’s not to late to manifest the latter of those, and Nike SB’s newest Vulc Rod issue makes the most of it by centering the green canvas in a field of charcoal grey suede cloth for another one of those models you can pair with practically any wardrobe options. Supra Society Mid Deion Sanders Pack

Published on August 5th, 2011no comments

After its launch in 06, it’s been known that Supra’s design crew were influenced by Nike and Air Jordans.Started out innocently enough with the Air Jordan IV-like Cruizer and a host of Bulls, Grape and Aqua colorways and then went up a notch when the Skytop II released with a AJ6 tongue. Even that can be seen as an homage to Jordans as the new standard in footwear, but poaching a guy from the Swoosh roster and releasing a shoe for a sport he may have never even tried? That’s starting to sound personal.Go to the Supra Society Mid ‘Deion Sanders Pack’, a reminder that upon his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Prime Time is not signed with the label that helped make him a household name, but rather, a burgeoning skate brand. Will Supra eventually tackle other sports outside skateboarding? That remains to be seen, but while we wait for the future to see how that plays out, the Society Mid ‘Deion Sanders’ is available in Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers colorways from Supra.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Venice Beach’ Customs

Published on August 1st, 2011no comments

Emmanuelabor’s calling card in the shoe game has been one of best diversity and creativity, creating custom shoes like ‘Craig Ehlo’ Air Jordan IV and the funky Air Force 1 Low ‘Foamposite’. He’s one of the few shoe customizers that took on the Zoom Kobe VI, a shoe that is understandably tough to work with because of the tight ‘snakeskin’ TPU upper shell. If you remember his last Kobe VI custom (the ‘Smog’ Kobe VI), you’d understand that Emmanuelabor’s attention to detail is admirable as he takes a meticulous approach to the hundreds of TPU ‘scales’ on the Kobe VI, but his latest work is downright insanity. Here’s a look at the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Venice Beach’; Emmanuelabor used the Kobe VI ‘Glass Blue’ as a base and created a sandy beach upper using actual sand from Venice Beach. Emmanuelabor also painted the base a beige color to match with the glass blue midsole for that beach shoreline motif. Images of the Kobe VI ‘Venice Beach’shoes as well as a video.

The third Nike Zoom Kobe VI Team Bank colorway had the pleasure of up closing, another two-toned simple pleasure that will match the Kobe VI fair share of roundball uniforms this fall. The Gorge Green Flywire-embedded TPU upper looks great with a white midsole, heel and Swoosh, and they’re an even better fit for occasional Zoom Kobe-series supporter Rajon Rondo than the Rice HS PE he was spotted wearing earlier this year. Click through to see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all of the other remaining Zoom Kobe VI release dates
